The Kraken Unknown Deep Limited Edition series, takes us further and further, down the murky dark waters of the sea. Maxed out at 11,000m deep, we are now faced with the last bottle in the Unknown Deep series, Copper Scar.

At 11,000m deep, it's a distance beyond human reach. It's the final resting place of all that sinks to its depth. Be it unfortunate mariners or long forgotten shipwrecks, their fate is the same. Among the remains and relics, there are believed to be all manner of weird and wonderful creatures, and amongst them it is thought a beast stalks the fiery, volcanic seabed.

The Copper Scar limited edition bottle and metal capsule gives some hints as to what it's like deep down amongst the ruble, ash and smokey seawater. Blackened by volcanic fumes and coppered by years spent beneath the sea, it has a fierce and alluring design. The tentacle wrapped glass bottle is encased in a premium metal capsule. The Kraken branding is emblazoned in copper on the bottle. The gift tin capsule is inspired by long forgotten diving equipment. The copper coloured design, with punched metal, has a well-rusted porthole that gives a glimpse of the Copper Scar bottle inside.

It appears the The Mighty Beast also has a softer side. For each bottle sold, The Kraken will donate £1 to marine conservation charity, Project Aware: Dive Against Debris. The bottle is without doubt a mix between the dark side and compassion. A contradiction without compromise.

Within each bottle rests 70cl of the much loved Kraken Spiced Rum. This Caribbean rum combines thirteen distinct spices and is aged in oak for around twelve months. On the nose, there are aromas of vanilla, nuts, coffee and hints of gingery spice fill the nose. To taste, notes of cinnamon, cloves, gingerbread come immediately to the fore, followed by espresso, pepper and vanilla-cola.  It's great served over ice, topped with a fiery ginger beer and a squeeze of fresh lime to create 'The Perfect Storm' cocktail.
